Our content, webinars, retreats and services...

  • All services must be booked in advance.

  • Write Wild Retreats expects each participant to pay the fees online and in full before the first session or retreat. Different payment options can be negotiated but you must contact us first.

  • If our services, retreats or events have to be cancelled by us for any reason, Write Wild Retreats will refund your money in full.

  • The minimum number of retreat / session participants is five, the maximum is twelve. If you wish to cancel your place on a session or retreat, we will reimburse in line with our Cancellation Policy.

  • Write Wild Retreats cannot reimburse travel costs or other losses incurred by you in the event of cancellation by us or you.

  • Participants are advised that Write Wild Retreats cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by participants as a result of an event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or beyond its control otherwise.

  • Where Write Wild Retreats is unable to provide a place to you for any reason, our liability is limited to return of the fees paid.

  • Write Wild Retreats reserves the right to make changes to the advertised programme, session leaders or speakers. Please note that where we have to make changes to the advertised programme, session leaders or speakers, you do not have additional rights of cancellation and our standard terms still apply.

  • Write Wild Retreats has a strong ethos of celebrating and encouraging all members no matter where they are on their writer’s journey. We therefore ask that you are thoughtful and respectful of other course members/participants.

  • Write Wild Retreats reserves the right to refuse a place and to exclude from a session, retreat or event any member/participant who, in the opinion of the Company, behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner or engages in any discriminatory conduct. No refund will be given if exclusion is made for these reasons.

  • By booking, you agree that we may collect and store personal information about you and your interactions with Write Wild Retreats. These include: your personal contact details; gender; details of your booking and course booking history, including any access and dietary needs you have told us about; records of payments, any correspondence and any other information we need to keep in order to administer your booking. All personal information is kept securely on electronic systems. We will use this information to communicate with you about your booking and we may, unless you tell us otherwise, communicate with you occasionally about our work and other courses and related to creative writing and retreats. We never share or sell information about our members with any third party, either in aggregate or in individual form.

  • We do not accept bookings from anyone less than 18 years of age.

  • Participants should expect to take part in all aspects of the session.

  • If you have specific dietary or accessibility needs, it is important that you tell us about these before the retreat begins.

Our Manuscript Assessment Services

  • Write Wild Retreats require that all manuscripts are submitted in Word format via email. As we add inline comments in your work, we do not accept printed manuscripts.

  • Comments will appear in your text using Words' 'Review' system. Every Word Package from 2007 has this facility. Information on how to accept and reject comments will be sent to you with your Manuscript Assessment report.

  • Do not submit the original or only copy of your manuscript.

  • Once your manuscript has been assigned to an assessor, your assessment will be completed within four to six weeks.

  • Manuscript Assessment reports are as agreed with the assessor.

  • The author’s copyright over their manuscript will be respected.

  • Any further contact or mentoring between author and assessor must be arranged through Write Wild Retreats.

  • Write Wild Retreats reserves the right to decline manuscripts and payments at its sole discretion without further correspondence.

  • Receiving a Manuscript Assessment does not guarantee publication of your writing. An assessment may help you polish your work for submission to a commercial publisher, but it will not directly impact your chances of publication. Neither assessors nor Write Wild Retreats are able to approach publishers on your behalf.

  • There is no right to refund after you have agreed and paid for a manuscript assessment, unless we choose not to take the work on.

  • By booking, you agree that we may collect and store personal information about you and your interactions with Write Wild Retreats. These include: your personal contact details; gender; details about your manuscript assessment; records of payments, any correspondence and any other information we need to keep in order to administer our service. All personal information is kept securely on electronic systems. We will use this information to communicate with you about your booking and we may, unless you tell us otherwise, communicate with you occasionally about our work and other courses and related to creative writing. We never share or sell information about our course participants with any third party, either in aggregate or in individual form.
